Found a Bald Eagle feather on the Allegheny (Kinzua) Reservoir! Bald Eagles are a protected species so it is illegal to posses their feathers. If you find a Bald Eagle feather you need to leave it in the place where you found it. Bald Eagles are also a sacred species to the local Seneca Trib.
This was the second Bald Eagle feather that I found in the wild. The first was on the Jackson River in the Gorge Washington National Forest in Virginia. Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdkOhgTRceI&t=822s
